Set against the backdrop of escalating farmer suicides in India, Sanjivani, a young farmers widow, strives for financial independence and a better future for her children. She finds strength in counseling sessions with a local psychologist and other widowed farmers and ends up consulting distressed women when another suicide occurs.

The film is a Belgian-Dutch-Indian co-production, produced by Evelien De Graef and Hanne Phlypo of Clin d’oeil films, in co-production with SNG Film (Digna Sinke) and Arya Rothe from NoCut Film Collective. Beautiful imagery from the hands of Leena Patoli, Carl Rotiers and Vishel Vittal, edited by the wonderful Joelle Alexis and sound carefully handled by Puneet Dwivedi, Imtiyaz Jumnalkar, Mark Glynne and Olmo van Straalen. A very big thank you to everyone else who was involved!
